2009 Killing Custom 50 Sloop with single Inboard Diesel Power...
To Life represents a beautiful blend of aluminium artistry & cutting edge performance design. Built to a standard rarely seen on either side of the Atlantic. Great attention to detail & incredible strength to weight ratios. Steve Killing, the designer, says in his write up of the boat," The boat, designed without consideration of racing rules, was created with speed in mind.....The tall rig, deep draft & fixed bowsprit are indicators of the performance bent to this sloop". The builder, John Daniells, took 9 years to craft To Life & the results are impressive. There is a 40 HP Yanmar saildrive, twin helms & accomodations for a full crew. The keel can be removed for overland shipment. Currently in winter storage on Georgian Bay.
