2003 Camano 31 Troll Trawler with single Inboard Diesel Power...

Fresh Water Vessel

                                       Heated Winter Storage Since New

Designed by Vancouver naval architect Bob Warman, the style of the Camano 31, with its high nearly plumb bow, radiused transom and prominent deck saloon is certainly influenced by Pacific Northwest workboats. Not so apparent are some of the innovative design features Warman incorporated. Below the waterline there is a broad, deep keel and double chine forward that, without going into a bunch of techno-talk, improve the efficiency and operational characteristics of the design.

With no exterior wood trim and black vinyl rails at the deck edge and rub strake, Camano gives the appearance of being a stoutly built little workboat and although she is not a workboat, I would have to agree that she is stoutly built.

Outdoor entertaining and relaxation aboard the Camano is done on the flybridge which is as large and comfortable as you are likely to find on any small boat. There is a center helm seat flanked by two pedestal seats forward on the bridge and more than 50 square feet of open space aft. The area easily accommodates six adults for cocktails.

The interior is designed  with a cruising couple in mind. The main saloon, which features 360 degrees of visibility, has a dinette which converts to a double berth to port aft with chairs and a lower helm to starboard. The galley is down several steps to port with a head and shower opposite and there is a large comfortable V-berth forward.

Well engineered access to the engine and other machinery and systems is a huge plus .

Power is provided by a 200-hp Volvo diesel which will push the Camano to a top speed of a little over 15 knots and cruise at seven knots for nearly 800 miles at about eight and a half nautical miles per-gallon of fuel. A very large rudder and bow thruster aid handling in tight quarters.

Accomodations

Perfect vessel for a cruising couple

There is a comfortable forward stateroom with a roomy berth for two as well as ample storage. A large overhead hopening hatch with universal skyscreen provides light, shade and screened ventillation.

Moving aft,on the starboard side you will find the head, which features a vac-u flush marine toilet, sink and shower. There is also good storage here.

Going up three steps you enter the main cabin space. The galley is on the port side and the helm station is to starboard.

The galley features a three burner propane stove with oven, a good sized fridge/freezer, stainless steel sinks, a microwave oven and lots of storage spaces and countertop.

The Nav station is well equipped and nicely organized.

Proceeding aft into the main cabin you find an L shaped settee unit which also pulls out to create a double berth for your occasional guests.

There is a Marine Air, system to keep you cool in the summers and warm in the cooler weather. There is also a Wabesto diesel furnace on board. The main cabin has blinds throughout for your privacy and shade.

Moving aft, through the main cabin door you enter the aft cockpit area which has a complete enclosure with screens and windows. This is a perfect spot to watch the sunset and rinse off under the cockpit shower. There are also two deck chairs.

Aft, through the transom door there is a fiberglass swim platform with a swim ladder

Climb the stairs and you find a spacious fly bridge where there are full helm controls

There is plenty of light and ventillation throughout.
